Settings Settings - General

In Shopping you'll find many options related to the core features of the App.
The details of each one is described below.
Settings
Reports Reports
The first settings is about shopping sessions. When you start checking off items from the list the software checks if you have started a shopping session and can :
  • continue without a session. This means that all the features that require a shopping session can't be used.
  • ask you to start a session. The app ask you to start a session, if you don't the App will not mind.
  • require you to start a session. This means that the app will not let you check off an item if you don't start a session.

Settings
The second settings is about list view options.

Here you can choose if you want that your list view options are reset to default (show all, ordered by name) everytime you start the app or a new session or if you want that the options are maintained.

Settings
The following settings can be used to personalize the list view.

You can turn on show groups on items to have the group name shown below the item name.

Turn on Show item on products to show the item name in product rows.

Turn on Shoe barcodes to show the barcode of products.

You can combine any of the previous switches. Please note that the note field will always be shown if present.

Since the amount of informations in each row can be different depending on what you have choose to show and what informations are available, rows can have different heights. If you want to show all rows at the same height, even if they don't contain extended informations you can turn on Don't shrink space. Of course you will see less rows in the list view if you turn it on.

In List row check off sound you can choose if you want a sound or vibration where you check off an item.

Please note that due to hardware limitations, the vibration will work only on iPhone devices and to hear sounds with iPods you have to connect the earphones.

Settings
When using the add one item feature, the software will show a list of items or products. With the next two settings you can choose the default search mode (you can always change it with the More button on the search screens.
Reports Reports
With next settings, Add many list items, you can choose the way you see the item list when adding many items at once.

You can choose to have it not grouped (and sorted by name), grouped by name and grouped by group.

Settings
The last setting is about the action you'll get touching the Plus button on the List screen. You can choose to open the Add one screen or the Add new screen. The other action is available in the More button so you should assign the once you use most to the Plus button and have the other two touches away.
